With increasing signs that this month will see the lifting of the outstanding restrictions imposed on daily life here in the fight against the spread of Covid-19, this might be the last bit of armchair travelling necessary for a while. That being so, I thought a virtual visit to a country that does not often sit atop the Asian travel bucket-lists might be in order; beautiful Bangladesh.

Many thanks for joining me on this virtual journey through many different parts of Bangladesh!
Fab photos. I’m still up for some armchair travelling 😊, as I’m not planning on going anywhere for a while yet.

The old houses and the gully reminded me so much of West Bengal, my home state. So culturally similar regions yet divided by religion. </3

Perhaps Bangladesh is less troubled by religious conflict than India? Is that correct?

Well, it has its share of difficulties but less churches are burned there than in India!

Hello! I just finished reading an interesting, funny novel by a Bangladeshi author which I would like to recommend. I read it in French: Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, “La tante qui ne voulait pas mourir”.

Another wonderful posting. I loved seeing these pictures. Catching the fish! The ladies out in the water. The little girl on her own. They are so intimate and touching. Fabulous – and thank you so much.

It was much more than enough indeed, I love read your posts, I love learn about other cultures and customs-history-folklore and human communities all over the world, and especially when it comes to France and England, Italy and in particular Magna Grecia, a place to where I’d love to travel quite soon I hope. Greetings.
